Extreme Weather

So, I'm just posting real quick before I go jump in the shower and then off to bed, but I just finished up my current event assignment for history and thought, "What the Hey."
So, here I am.
Getting a little stressed out because I'm tired from Cross Country and I don't think I'm sleeping well. So it's getting hard to concentrate on homework after practice.
But I shall survive!!! *Bursts ramdomly into song*
I feel like sharing my CC schedule of what we've done this week so far and why I'm amazed I'm not sick.
Saturday: We had a meet. I recieved 35th out of 87, and the #1 spot for the JV team. I'm also offically on Varsity training now. (Darn.....)
Sunday: Rest up.
Monday: Very cold and overcast. Some of us met by the "river" and ran along it for awhile, then we turned around and had hot cocoa back at the cars.
Tuesday: Ran up in the hills. In the rain. We were all pretty much soaked by the time practice was over. But for some reason, rain just makes everyrhing more fun.
Today: We had PSAT's, I have a killer headache now, and I need to go to bed. So goodnight.
Seeing as everyone else has died...... how depressing..... I'm all alone...... Steph?.... Ruby?.... Seth?.... They all died, I guess. Oh well. G'night, people who are dead.

Soooo tired.

Sophomore year is harder than I thought.
There's a lot of homework, I'm amazed I haven't drowned. But it's not all that bad.
And on Thursday I had a League race. I placed 5th in the JV race and got a metal. ^.^
Honestly, other than that, I can't think of anything really all that interesting that I've done.
Sooo.... I'm just hanging out doing homework and trying to get through the year without having a mental breakdown. (I had a really bad week. On Tuesday I lost my phone. But I found it!)
Anywho, I guess that's it. I actually have a killer headache, or else I would have down something deep or whatever. Oh well.

Clouds

There's dark clouds in my sky, or is that smoke passing me by?
Tonight will I dance in the rain, or run through hot ashes in pain?
Will everything wash away tonight, leaving me clean,
Or is the more for me to endure?
I don't know the answers, only the questions,
And now, they're driving me crazy.

So, I wrote this poem mainly because of all the smoke that's floating around. We get really bad wild fires out here, and the sky is totally blanketed.
Anywho, I start school in a week. I miss my friends so bad. But I'll see some of them at the concert next Sunday, and Facebook's saving my butt.
I really have nothing to post about, exept for Cross Country Camp. We went, we ran. We made a rap too, and shirts. Sadly the shirt's bleed, so we can't wash them. I put mine in "The Box." It's a box of random memory stuff.
Speaking of boxes, I've missed everyone's birthdays. *sigh* So I'm making brownies for the first day of school.
I guess that's it. I wish other people would post. Steph's fallen off the face of the earth. o.0
Or was kidnapped to Arabia by Ninja Monkeys...

13 for TDL

I'm back from my loonnggg vacation away from home. It's really nice to be back. But I have Cross Country camp on Wednsday. At least I'm getting SOME downtime in between.
Anywho, I'm currently reading Scott Westerfeld's "Midnighters" series. The whole series has this obsession with the number 13. In this book, 13 is the LUCKY number. And 12 is the worst. Which is awesome. I love the number 13.
Anyway, in the book, one of the things that repels the "evil" is the number thirteen. 13 letter words are used to repel the Darklings, as the forces of evil in this book is called. Anywho, in the book, there is this awesome word. TRIDECALOGISM. That's right. Tridecalogism is a 13-letter word meaning... a 13 letter word. How awesome is that? Individuality is a TDL. So is Splendiforous. Did I mention that Tridecalogism is a word created by one of the characters in the book? Sadly, it is not a real word. But it's still my new favorite.
If you can find any more TDL's, I'd like to know. I'll post the others that are in the book. By the way, a phrase mad of 3 TDL's works too. Like, "Magnificently Instantaneous Gratification". It has to make some sort of sense. Get it?
Well, I'm out, for now.
Later.

Not so Hot

So hey everyone. Sorry there hasn't been a real post in forever. Hopefully you noticed that the blog got a face lift. Again. (If you didn't, I highly suggest visisting your optomotrist. And do us all a favor and have some one ELSE drive you there.) Ugh. I'm sorry. I'm really just not feeling well. I'm supposed to be packing for yearbook camp. (And family camp, and a PIT project. This means I won't be back until August 15.) Anayway, I am a little nervous. I have realized I have a problem.
Usually, I am outgoing. But I find that at yearbook I just sit there. At least when I go to church camp I have at least one close friend. But I seriously feel alone here. And it bugs me, because I KNOW I'm not being myself. I'm just being... there. Which I bet isn't appritiated by everyone else.
So this is my problem: I can do anything as long as I have something familiar around me. So, I'm hoping that the whole camp thing helps my problem. Because I noticed that it was harder for me to be part of the team in cross country last year because I didn't get to go to CC Camp. (But I get to this year. Yay!) So I'd like for you guys to pray for me, so that I don't do something ridiculous that ticks everyone off. And that I get over this un-Nanoiness. (un-Nano-i-ness, just in case that looked wierd to you. I think it's fun to say. :P) And that I just get it in my head that God's with me.
On a happier note...
Emmie and I had a great time at the beach and did not drift out to sea. That would be bad. Although, I did briuse my rib when a particularly huge wave crashed over my head in a torrent of water, dirt, and kelp. (Eew!) There was a moment when I couldn't close my eyes and the murky brown dirt-filled water turned black. I think I rolled and then I smacked into the beach on my side. So it still hurts to stretch. But not too bad. (More like that pain you get when you need to crack your knee.) Emmie and I built... Moundhenge.
I must go now. And pack. I am the world's slowest packer.
~Nano
PS: Shout out to Emmie and her folding in thirds. I folded my pants in thirds and they fir in my bag sooo much better. Luv ya!

Hey Life. Stop Hitting So Hard.

Emmie here. Yeah I did a pretty crappy job of taking over Nano's blog didn't I? (HEY NANO! The blog looks cool by the way) But whatever. The Emmie invasion is over and now it's just me. So.....

Hi.

This is free internet space so I'm going to rant about my life right now. Read if you like. Or you could just comment pretending like you read it. Either way I'm not sure if I really care.
Let the ranting begin!

So on Sunday I just back from visiting family in Oregon. Man, the town my grandparents live in is as almost as old and decrepit as George Washington's bones. (Don't know where that came from) Maybe it had a hay-day once but now is definately not it. We drive there and back so we spend A LOT of time in the car. It doesn't bother me so much anymore as long as I don't get sick. (Which happens about 35% of the time) But @ least I have my books and my brother has the DVD player.
Let me tell you one thing about myself.

Everywhere I go I take a library with me.

I just don't want to be caught without a book. I brought at least...um.... lemme think....... eight books with me and came back with 12. Yes. I am a loud, proud bookworm.

Back to ranting

What was I talking about? Oh yeah Oregon. Well I'm kinda done on the subject.
NEXT SUBJECT.

*looks at title of long ranting post*
Oh yeah. Long story short. (which even though I said it, it is unlikely to happen anyway)
I'm tired.
Not just, "Oh I'm going to go to sleep now" tired but "I feel like if I move another muscle I'm going to crack" tired. Which isn't good since this is what the lies in store for the summer and the school year! (Time for a list if you didn't see this coming. Like Nano says Lists are fun!)

1) Cheer Practice (two days a week for summer and three during the school year)
2) Maintaining a 4.0 GPA while taking advance classes
3) Service Hours, meaning helping one of my favorite teachers with her summer school classes
4) Any acting I want to do. Which I don't think I will be able to do anyway because of 1 and 2
5) Trying to have fun as a freshman

Notice I but the least likely at the bottom. So my life is about to get a whole lot busier. Fun fun fun.

Well I think I've taken up enough space on this blog with my ranting that I think I will end this post.

Yours Truly,
Emmie

P.S. We stayed at my aunt and uncles house on the way home and my aunt (she is so cool by the way) gave my parents a margarita and she even gave me a little one. Here's some shocking news.
I Liked It.
Be Afraid.
Emmie has a margarita

P.S.S.
I wrote this @ 11:30 at night so if you see typoes please tell me. Those little buggers really annoy me.

But when you're heart becomes a hunter you may wound your chance to love

Tuesday, July 7, 2009

Ok, so...

EVERYONE READ THE WHOLE THING. PLEASE.
^ The above basically means to this is going to be a really long post and I'd appreciate it if you would read the whole thing. And comment.
So, basically, I have a lot to talk about. Which Is why you will get the wonder that is lists! Yay! And the top of Nano's list is tied-
1. I learned how to wakeboard. It's pretty fun, if you ignore the cold water, the dark depth's below, and the threat of having a huge fish brush your ankle. *shudder* I was totally a natural, not to brag or anything. It rocked.
1. I got my ears pierced again. I got second up, and a cartalige piercing on my left ear. The cartalige caught when they did it and HURT! But it doesn't now. :)
2. I went to camp. That's where I learned to wake-board. One of the girls in my cabin sleepwalks. She woke three of us up at two in the morning when she tried to walk out of the cabin. And she was on the top bunk! She was also a pain to wake up, and kept punching one the other girls in her sleep. AND THEN she injured me in a wheelbarrow race, and wrenched this girl's shoulder during a game of Kajabee Can-Can.
3. I cleaned out my closet and was almost eaten but the monster. Now all the clothes I never wear or that don't fit are on their way to Goodwill. I was amazed. I had stuff in there from kindergarden!
4. I can't find anyone to go to the midnight showing of "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" with me. 'Tis sad. :(

See, aren't lists fun?! :D (Boy, I sure do seem to like emoticons today!)
Anywho, I'm in the mood to write. But I have writer's block for my story, and a lot of ideas floating around. So, it's up to you. Should I:
A) Work around the writer's block on "Firewind", the story about Phoenix and the gang. I've made so many changes it's hardly recognizable.
B) Start on "Tough Survival", which is about a bunch of teens heading from juvenille hall to a special summer camp for troubled teens, but they have to survive on their own because the bus gets lost and suddenly hurtles off the road, leaving them stranded in the middle of nowhere!
C) Start "That's Life", which is about High School. A Christian high school, and how the whole cast of characters has to deal with normal high school problems- and some not so normal!
D) Suck it up and start on all of them! They all sound great!

I really think I might have to start up a writing blog for them...
Love you all!!

*blink*

So today, Michael Jackson died.
It was like, "Wha'?"
So I was at my yearbook supervisor's house for a pool party/meeting, and her son, who's a year older than me, just walks in. We're all sitting there thinking yearbook thoughts, and he's like,"Hey Mom. Michael Jackson died."
And we're all,"What?????" And were kindof laughing in this awkward and shocked way. Then her son goes,"Why are you laughing it's not funny."
So, yeah. Then there was thing about how stars die in threes, because Ed McMann and one of the Charlie's Angel's died as well.

Anywho...
We had VBS this week and I love my crew. They're supposed to be second and third graders, but out of the five, two are going into kindergarden. But they are sooo good. They listen to me better than they listen to Miss Robin, who is the adult I'm paired with. But I'm doing a lot. Most of the work. Learning. Like, I feel like she's just there as a safety net, but I think I'm doing great.
Well, that's all for now. Luv ya!

Ello! This is Emmie speaking!

The sixth movie promises to be the funniest. Now Emmie, remind me why I gave you full admin privledges again? o.0 I'm a little scared...

Heck if I know. But don't be surprised if the Blog changes because of the Emmie invasion! Mwuahahahaha!!!

Now I'm a lot scared....

Awesome award. And crazy summer weather and wackiness.

Seth tagged me. Actually, Ruby tagged me when I was grounded back in December, but whatever.

And the rules are- list 7 things that make you ah-some then give the award to seven awsome bloggers. Well, here I go...

The seven things that make me awesome

1) Jesus Christ.

2) My great friends.

3) This blog

4) My shortness

5) The fact that I run Cross Country

6) Because I'm on yearbook.

7) My tonedeftness

And I tag...

Nobody.

So, maybe you're all wondering what's up? Or maybe you're wondering what I've been up to? Or maybe you are wondering why hot dogs come in packages of ten and the buns in packages of eight. I can't answer that last question, but I can answer the last two.

Since my last post, we had finals, which I did great on, school got out, Emmie became a freshman and I went to her graduation and out to dinner with her and Blue Jay and Emmie's family, made yearbook for next year, and convinced my parents to let me get my second and third piercings on my ear. But the third is only one my left ear. Oh, and I'm now stranded in the middle of nowhere again. At least this time, I have a theme song. Look up "Too much time on my hands" by Stix.

Some video's for you to watch when shrouded with boredom-

Enjoy!!!

The House (Because Steph did it and it looked like fun)

Pick 8 random friends you feel comfortable around. (Four girls, four guys -- include yourself)
1. Emmie
2. Pebbs
3. Blue Jay
4. Nano (Me)
5. Danno
6. uh... Ullysses
7. Googlewatt
8. and uh... (ran out of guys...) Hawk. (Let's make Emmie happy, eh?)

These eight people you just picked are stuck in a house with you for a whole year. There is no leaving the house at all until the year is completely up. If you had to choose a person for every question below, write down which person it would be.

There are four rooms, who would be in each room?
1. Emmie and I
2. Pebbs and Jay
3. Danno and Ullysses
4. Googlewatt and Hawk

If there was someone singing in the morning who would it most likely be?
...Pebbs, cuz Emmie and I aren't morning people and we would have been up singing until four in the morning.

If someone was considered the dad and the mom of the house, who would it be?
Pebbs and Danno.

If you wanted candy really badly and all of the 7 in the house had some, who would you take it from?
Emmie, cuz I know where she keeps it and if you steal Pebbs chocolate all that will be left of you is a greasy spot.

If two people were caught making out in a closet who would it be?
... I have to say Emmie and Hawk, cuz they're the only *eh-hem* couple in the house. But even then, it's very unlikely.

If someone had to watch you brush your teeth (every) morning, who would it be?
Jay would be torn between making sure I take care of my personal hygeine and being disgusted.

There was two bags of chips bought at the store, but 20 minutes later they are gone. Who ate them?
All of us. It's quite sad.

Who would hate being in the house the most?
Googlewatt. He is not easily confined in a building.

Someone took (brand spanking new) pair of socks that were never worn, who is the thief?
Jay. She has feet issues.

Someone swept all the dirt under the rug, who was it?
Either me, Emmie, or Danno.

If there was arguments in the house, who would be the ones arguing? Danno would be trying to kill Hawk for liking Emmie.

Who would be the one missing there boyfriend/girlfriend that wasn’t in the house with them?
Nobody.

You walked down stairs in the middle of the night for a glass of water, someone is dancing on the table in there Leopard Thong, who is the crazy one?
Do I have to answer that? Oh, fine. Emmie. How she got ahold of a leopard thong is another matter...

A pillow fight broke through, who started it?
Ok, so Danno decides to whack Hawk (for reasons above), Hawk thinks it's Emmie, he misses and hits Googlewatt, who procedes to chase everyone around the house with pillows.

Theres a marathon of your favorite tv show, what is it? and who would be watching it with you?
Everyone would be fighting over the remote, but eventually, us girls would win and the boys would retire to Danno and Ullysses room to play Halo. By this time we'd have missed the marathon and would default to Star Wars, during which the guys would return and join us.

Someone made a fort in the laundry room, who was the kid?
Most likely Danno and Ullysses. Pebbs would come in half-way through and help them.

There’s a prankster in the house that put plastic on the two toilets in the house, who are the pranksters? Danno and Ullysses.

The musics too loud, who turned it up?
Emmie and I.

Theres a mouse crawling on the floor all over the house,a) who is the first one to scream? -- No one. Awww... what a cute mouse! b) and who is the one to jump is someones arms? see a). c) Who would be the one to kill it? -- Googlewatt would try. But he's outnumbered.

Someones crying, who is it and what happened?
Pebbs. Darn that Algebra 2...

Who made pancakes in the morning and almost caught the house on fire?
Either me or Pebbs. I caught popcorn on fire once and Pebbs burns choco-chip cookies.

Who gets sick of each other the fastest in the house? Danno and Hawk. If you don't understand, start reading this again.

Someones tanning on the roof who is it?
Emmie and I. While we're all up there chatting about proper taco fillings and sizes and telling french jokes and discussing texas and whatever else it is we do. Meanwhile, Hawk is a little confussed by our strangeness and is a little nervous to approach Danno...

Who is the tallest in the house? Ullysses.

Who is the loudest? Me. No question about it.

Who is the clown? All of us.

Who is the one you go to talk to the most? Emmie or Pebbs. Occasionally Danno.

Who is the one that always comes up with stupid ideas? *sigh* Sadly, all of us. It really just snowballs...

Who's in bed first? I think Jay. But we'd all be up till at least one, when Pebbs would be telling us to go to bed.

If someone woke everyone up with pots and pans who would it be? It could be anyone of us.

Is always dancing? Me. Or Emmie. Or Pebbs.

Someone has the same sweater as you, so you get mad at them and who is it? I don't know. I have some pretty crazy sweaters. But we'd probably all buy the same sweater and wear them to Disneyland or something, just to be wierd.

You spilt ice all over the kitchen floor, who would be the one to slip on it first? This is what happens: Pebbs comes in, sees the mess, and starts to clean it up. Ulllyses comes in and is talking to Danno whos in the other room, and trips over Pebbs. Then we all dump ice on the floor and spend the next hour sliding around the kitchen.

That was fun. Really. Kind of like lunch.

Rock On, surfer's of the web

Ok, so, a little update on what I've been doing:
1) I saw Superchick in concert while Emmie was in Italy. Now her best friend is the green monster. (not really. Even I'd chose Italy over my favorite band.)
2) Emmie is back from Italy. I've been thinking of adding her as an author on here in case she ever wants to drop in and say hi.
3) Track is over. I made it to League finals, and got 5th in the 1600 and 4th in the 3200. Today's CIF Prelims, but I didn't make it. I did get a varsity letter though. Squee!
4) Before Emmie went to Italy, I saw Stellar Kart and Kutless in concert. They rocked.
5) I bought Fading by Decyfer Down. Luv it!
6) The weather's gone from 70 degrees at noon to 90 degrees since I last posted.
7) I'm totally gonna see Star Trek today. Live long and prosper, yo.
8) Check me out on Max-dan-wiz.com search Nano-Byte. I'm the only one on there if you look it up. (yes!)
9) Emmie's gonna kill me. I'm hacking off my hair. Like 6 inches.
10) I'm having major writer's block in my story, and I need to talkto Steph but I assume she's in Mexico now. *Sigh*

So, I think that's it, besides the fact that all my friends are nuts and have the strangest conversations at lunch. Daniel, (Emmie's brother) is trying to take over the world. Let's just leave it at that. See ya.

Blown Away

I love spring. It's so beautiful. The wild flowers come out, and you can go swimming, and school's almost over...
And its 75 degrees but it feels like 30 because the wind is blowing at 40 miles an hour, and you're getting sand in your eyes. Oh yeah. Reeaaalll fun to run in. Especially when you get blown off course and are attacked by tumbleweeds. Oh joy.
Because track started. Today we went to the park to run, and it has these three ponds for fishing. One of the girls on the distance team, Kenedy, decided it would be fun to try to do monkey bars under the bridge. She fell. She had to have been freezing, dripping wet and all. But it really was hilarious.
Anywho, we have SAT10's this week. Fuuunnn. At least there's no homework. :)

Happy Birthday!!!!

Yesterday was the one-year birthday of my blog. Ain't that special? I was gonna just get a html code to have confetti rain down when you opened the page, but didn't find anything. Ah well. I decided to celebrate all month instead. So, just for all y'all readers, I composed this little poem. (In the shower last night)

The Nano-Byte is a mysterious creature
Sometimes she feels short, and sometimes she feels tall,
(Tho she's barely over five foot!)
Leading a life marked with laughter, the Nano sings its songs
(Oh, but she can't sing!)
Somedays she wears a pink-banded hat, some days an orange flower.
Or her hair could be up, could be down, or just poufy.
Sometimes the Nano loves this world, and sometimes she just feels like crying.
And sometimes, when the Nanogrows tired, she wants to forget it all...
AND EAT THREE TIMES HER WEIGHT IN DARK CHOCOLATE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you. Rock on.

Happy New Years

Happy New Years. Bladdy blah. You get the point.

ANYWHO
I went to Emmie's for New Years. (No, she is NOT dead. Just not part of wonderful blogging community anymore) Movie marathon (we never did actually finish a whole movie) pictonary, Martinelli's (Love that junk), you get the point. I took a couple of pictures with my new DIGITAL CAMERA. I named it Harvi. He is red. Anyway, I took pictures of Emmie's cat, Shay. And a video. I'll put it up soon. (Cuz I can do that now, ya know.) We also may a video of Emmie trying to open a glass bottle of Orange Crush. (How come twist off bottle caps are so hard to get off?) Well, anywho, the video has "What is This Feeling" from the broadway musical Wicked. It's really funny.

OTHER PICTURES
Other pictures I've taken with Harvi include:
A picture of my dad's feet
our cat, Clover, in the tree (about three of these)
Two pictures of our fire the other night
A minute and a half video of the said fire
a video of my dog
a video of Clover playing with a bell

So, yeah. Then today, Emmie and I went to see "The day the earth stood still". Honestly, don't waste your money. It was really... rushed. The effects were good. THe plot... eh. But it was rushed.

This is a really long post. Ah, oh well. Pictures soon, 'kay?
